URGENTLY REQUIRED

Junior Sample Preparation (JSP)

Location:  Willing to be located at the Mine site, West Papua.

General Accountability:

Within the Sample Preparation unit, you will work with mineral samples and prepare them for analysis  in our labs. 

Specific Responsibilities:

-          Helps manage the process of sample preparation as the samples arrive in the lab.

-          Maintains shift production levels and ensures sample preparation work meets required turnaround time.

-          Identifies and resolves internal and external problems when they arise.

-          Responsible for training of sample preparation staff and monitoring performance.

-          Organizes employee scheduling and shift work in consultation with the Manager

-          Helps with employee performance evaluations, discipline and other issues as they arise in consultation with the Head of Lab.

-          Performs basic mechanical maintenance as required.

Acts as backup for Supervisors during vacation and other absences

-          General cleaning duties for basic laboratory cleanliness.

-          Mine Sampling Lab, Lab. Analysis, and able to use X-Ray equipment.

-          Familiar with all safety rules for the laboratory and sample preparation.

-          Other duties as assigned by Head of Lab or Supervisors.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-          Good communication and hand coordination skills are required.

-          Basic use of the English language (preferred).

-          Good organizational skills.

-          Good leadership skills.

Good Safety Skills

-          Flexible schedule.

-          Pro-active and flexible approach to problem solving and job responsibilities.

-          Hardworking, able to work under pressure, self motivated and honest.

-          Computer Literate in using MS office and Internet will be an advantage.

-          Ability to work in a noise, hot, and dusty environment.

Required Qualifications:

-          Male with maximum age of 30 Years old.

-          Min. Diploma in Chemical Analyst.

Physical Demands:

-          Environment can be dusty and warm.

-          Be cleanly-shaven in order to wear protective equipment..
